In Memory of

Driver Oliver Clarke

24721
5c. Reserve Bde., Royal Field Artillery
Died 6th February 1918 Age 32

Driver Clarke was the son of Mrs. Amelia Clarke of 4, Vitriol Square, Earlestown, though SDGW states that he was born in Northwich, Cheshire. This may explain why he is buried in Weaverham (St. Mary's) Churchyard, in Cheshire, in Grave 1260. It has not been possible to find an obituary in the NEG or the WG. However his name is on the NEG list of recruits from the Earlestown office published on October 23rd 1914. It is also on the memorial at Emmanuel Church.
