According to CWGC, Private Peter Halsall was the son of Jane Halsall, 25, Church Lane, Lowton, and the late Edward Halsall. It has not been possible to find a newspaper obituary, so no further personal details are available.
Peter's name is on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme which bears the names of more than 72,000 officers and men who died in the Somme sector and who have no known grave.
