In Memory of

Private John Charles Graham

201958
4th Battalion South Lancashire Regiment
Died 5th March 1917 Age 22

According to SDGW, Private Graham was a resident of Earlestown. CWGC stetes that he is buried in Oswestry General Cemetery. The casualties commemorated at this cemetery came mainly from the large Oswestry Military Hospital at Park Hall Camp.

It has not been possible to find a newspaper obituary for Private Graham, so no further personal details can be given.

The 4th Battalion of the South Lancashires was a pioneer batallion. Whalley-Kelly mentions the very cold conditions experienced by the battalion in the early months of 1917.
