In Memory of

Private Walter Armstrong

Killed in Action 8th October 1918 aged 38

The CWGC website records that Walter was the son of John and Ann Armstrong, of Haydock Street, Newton-le-Willows, and the husband of Elizabeth Armstrong, of 68, Dudley Street, Warrington.


SDGW states that he was born in Newton-le-Willows and enlisted in Warrington. Walter is buried in Plot VI Row D Grave 1 in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gouy, Aisne, France, Gouy being a village to the east of the road between Cambrai and St. Quentin.


It has not been possible to find any newspaper obituary so further personal details can not be provided.
