Other than CWGC stating that John Henry Kirk was the husband of Alice Kirk of Ash Avenue, Earlestown and SDGW giving his place of birth as Warrington, it has not been possible to find very much about this casualty, not even how he won his Military Medal. No newspaper obituary has been found. His name is on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
