Sergeant Walter Entwistle

Killed in Action 1st July 1916 Age 25

Sergeant Entwistle's parents-in-law, Mr and Mrs F. W. Silverwood, lived at 32, Rydal Street, Earlestown. He was born in Bolton and enlisted there on January 14th 1915. He was sent to Gallipoli in August 1915. He was killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
