Private Evan Ellis Edwards

Private Evan Ellis Edwards was the son of John and Mary Jane Edwards of Earlestown (exact address not known). SDGW states that he was born in Leigh, enlisted in Horwich and was a resident of Westhoughton.

It has not been possible to find a newspaper obituary, so no further personal details can be given. He is buried in Amara War Cemetery in Iraq, in Plot IX Row B Grave 2, having died during the Mesopotamia Campaign.
