In Memory of

Private William Davison

24078
17th Battalion, Highland Light Infantry
97th Machine Gun Corps
Died 9th July 1917 Age 28

According to CWGC, Private William Davison was the son of William and Jane Davison of 83/85, Cochrane Street, Bathgate, which is a town to the west of Edinburgh. However, CWGC also adds "Of Earlestown, Lancs." This is the only evidence linking this soldier to the area. It has not been possible to find an obituary to supply any further personal details.

He is buried at Coxyde Military Cemetery, Koksijde, Belgium, in Plot I. Row D, Grave 40. Harold Boardman is buried in the same cemetery.
