In Memory of

Private Walter Critchley

2nd Battalion Gordon Highlanders
Died of Wounds 25th March 1915 Age 21

Although, according to SDGW, Walter enlisted in Aberdeen, he was born in Lowton, Lancashire. CWGC states that he was the son of James and Lucy Critchley, of Heath Lane, Lowton, Newton-le-Willows. He is buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery in Plot III Row D Grave 61. It has not been possible to find an obituary for further personal details.
