In Memory of

Private Walter Brimelow

7226
3rd Battalion, Eat Lancashire Regiment
Died on 12th November 1914 Age 46

According to the CWGC, Private Walter Brimelow was the husband of Sarah Tully (formerly Brimelow) of 80, Crown Street, Earlestown. He is buried in the churchyard of SS Mary and John Roman Catholic Church, Newton-le-Willows.

While the NEG did not carry an obituary for Walter, in its edition of 22nd September 1916, it mentions Peter Tully of 80 Crown Street being wounded again, while Partick Farley's obituary in the issue of 18th August 1916 refers to his sister, Mrs Tully, of 80 Crown Street.

Walter's name is on the NEG list of recruits from the Earlestown office published on October 23rd 1914.
